Compact high back box settle in pine

A good compact pine settle, with a high back and 'roof' over. It also has good storage in the box section through the lift up dor in the seat. Not only is this polished pine piece a very nice antique, it is immensely practical as well. Could it fit in your hall and become your favourite place for changing your shoes?

Interestingly it has two initials painted on which look to me like BB. So far I've no insight into them, but I will keep researching and update this listing if I find anything relevant. It's shape looks West Country to me.

One of the great features of this lovely settle is its size: much smaller than many you see on the market at 1m wide, a bit over 1.5m tall and slightly under 0.5m deep.
