Oil painting on wood panel 20thC

This very charming picture is authenticated by a sales ticket/label on the reverse, fully identifying it as an oil on panel by French artist Jean-Frederique Krine, and with the title Les Poules.

I'm (more than) slightly in love with this painting, perhaps because my late mother was obsessed with chickens and had a large print not dissimilar to this in her kitchen. So I feel a connection.
And that's what a good picture should do, no? You should feel a draw, a connection, an attachment to it, and I dare say that this is one of those: if you like chucks, you'll love this.

Overall measurements are 33 x29.5cms and it comes on a very good giltwood frame, with black slip, and all is in very good order.
