A 9ct gold and amethyst watch chain fob

A very nice gold (marked for 9ct) fob with a faceted amethyst terminal. It is constructed with elongated loops, not unlike a paperclip, and has a generous loop at the top end to accommodate a good thick chain (if you need such a thing, do enquire: I have several). 
It measures 21mm tall, and the square terminal is approx 15 x 15mm

A nice early example, Georgian, and very clearly hand crafted which gives it much character: a lovely piece.
