19thC Winsor Newton artist box and contents

In superb condition, this artists box is a real collectors piece. It comes with a porcelain mixing dish as well as a porcelain palette (by James Newman, Soho Sq). It contains two trays of small oil tubes and I believe that Mr Newton of this partnership was the inventor of the squeezable oil tube.
The labelling for this box indicates it is from circa 1850. It has a (replacement?) ebony locking post for the drawer which also has a campaign style handle. A very nice piece indeed.

On view in the shop.
