A pair of engine turned 9ct gold cufflinks

This is a good pair of chain linked 9ct gold 'engine turned' engraved cufflinks, made by Henry Hobson & Sons and assayed in Birmingham, fully hallmarked on the back of each piece. Probably 1987 with a date letter "N" in a canted corner box. The alternative interpretation of 'Z' feels a bit too old at 1899.
In excellent condition.
