Jane Austen Volume the Third 1951

A good copy of the Jane Austen juvenilia known as Volume the Third.
Published by Oxford at The Clarendon Press in 1951 'from the manuscript'. A first first.
Bound in cloth-backed grey boards with a paper label "Volume the Third" to the spine; some age-related browning to the paper element but otherwise unscathed. Pages are untrimmed and some in the index remain uncut, and there is a little age-related browning to the cut edges and paper. Very little corner bumps or wear. A fine & very clean copy.
Very wide margin, block print. Includes her original old fashioned and/or misspellings e.g. beleive, and shortenings such as cd instead of could. A small slim volume a little more than 7" tall (16mo)

A nice example for the Austen collector, and a matching with Sanditon which is also listed (press "previous" below). I would be happy to sell both together, and with a modest discount
